Anterior & Posterior Blepharitis

Anterior Blepharitis affects the outside of the eyelids, usually at the eyelashes. Generally this is caused by a bacterial infection or by scalp dandruff.

Posterior Blepharitis affects the inner eyelid. It is usually caused by problems with the oil (meibomian) glands or by a skin disorder (see Rosacea).
