Using Cosmetics To Conceal Dark Circles Under The Eyes

darkcirclesIf you cannot avoid or get rid of the dark circles, you can conceal them.

There are a number of make up tricks that you can use to reduce or cover up the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.

If you don't like to use much make up, a little white eye shadow beneath the lashes can be enough to hide the dark marks.

Alternatively, just using a little concealer, carefully applied under the eyes, will cover them. Use a concealer that is just a shade lighter than your natural skin color. When you apply the concealer, don't pull the skin or press too firmly. Be gentle.

To cover more pronounced dark circles, you may need to use more make up.

Start with an under-eye cream to moisturize the area then apply a thin layer of concealer. Use a yellow concealer for the dark (grey, purple or blue) marks under your eyes. Finally, use eye shadow, preferably with a little sparkle to it which will help to deflect the light.

If you use foundation, apply the concealer first; the dark circles under your eyes are already covered before you begin to apply your normal make up. Use a small amount and blend well. This will ensure that you don't get a build up of make up under the eyes.

Try to use your make up to accentuate your best features and detract attention from the eyes.

If the dark circles are particularly severe, there are some products available that have been created to cover up black eyes.

Whether you apply a little or a lot of make up, apply it with a light hand. Using too much make up in this area will only draw attention to your eyes. Which is completely the opposite effect to that which you're trying to achieve.

Remember, too, that the skin around your eyes is very delicate and should be treated gently.
