Allergies and Dark Circles Under The Eyes
Dark circles or rings around the eyes are often referred to as "Allergy Shiners" because they look like black eyes. There are many allergies that might cause these dark circles but, in general, they are allergies that cause obstructions in the nasal passages.
Children, in particular, often suffer from such allergies and the most obvious sign can be their constant rubbing at their eyes.
Sinus problems can cause the appearance of bruising around the bridge of the nose and eyes. Allergies are a common cause of sinus problems.
The only way to prevent or treat these "Allergy Shiners" is to treat the allergy itself.
